We’re looking for a Marketing Professional to join our team!

As Goodwill’s Social Media Specialist, you will attract and interact with targeted social communities and people. The goal is to achieve more meaningful engagement, increased website traffic and support from like-minded individuals that also want to do good for people and the planet.

Social Media Specialist Responsibilities

  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
  • Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
  • Analyze the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to manage reputation, drive lead generation and align messaging
  • Be creative and embrace the “Human Factor” as the voice of Goodwill® responding to and engaging with our community on social media across multi-channels
  • Provide copy support for social media consistent with brand voice and positioning
  • Use social media management and analytics platform as well as industry benchmarks to identify content trends and best practices for brand awareness
  • Prepare organized records of marketing metrics and results of past campaign
  • Support marketing strategy and campaigns to amplify ongoing key messages
  • Identify new and innovative ways to engage with our followers
  • Partner with product teams as well as our leadership to answer technology/field questions

Qualifications

  • BA Degree
  • 2+ years of prior experience in social media marketing
  • 1-2 years of Social/Community Management experience
  • Working knowledge of the sustainability / renewables space, and all of our products
  • Familiarity with social media management and social listening tools
  • Demonstrated analysis, problem solving and skills troubleshooting expertise
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and escalate customer issues as required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Increasing engagement across all social channels
  • Alignment of channel messaging with brand standards
  • Identify new goals for growth based on insight analysis and trend monitoring
  • Being available to help in the case of time sensitive news or events

Full Time, $40,000 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package
