To Our Community,
As we reflect on 2025, we are filled with gratitude for the dedication and generosity that continue to move Goodwill Industries of the Valleys forward. This year marked a period of meaningful growth and momentum as we advanced our mission and expanded opportunities for individuals and families across the communities we serve.
Throughout the year, our donated goods and retail operations continued to strengthen the foundation that powers our mission. We celebrated the grand opening of the Harrisonburg Outlet & Donation Center and the newly relocated Danville Retail Store & Donation Center, both of which enhance the shopping and donation experience while supporting our ability to invest in life-changing services.
The grand opening of Melrose Plaza on July 31 marked a historic milestone for our organization and community. With construction finalized across the entire campus, Melrose Plaza now serves as a vibrant hub for education, workforce development, health, and community connection. Shortly after opening, we proudly welcomed the first class of students to The Excel Center in Roanoke, Virginia’s first adult high school, creating new pathways for adults to earn their standard high school diploma while gaining career credentials. And the Market on Melrose continued to expand its presence, increasing access to fresh, affordable food while serving as a vital neighborhood resource.
These milestones reflect more than growth. They represent our continued commitment to thoughtful progress and long-term impact. By staying focused on what we do best and building on our strengths, we are working every day to move from good to truly great in how we serve our community.
None of this would be possible without the generosity of our donors, the dedication of our team members, and the trust of the individuals and families we serve. Because of you, lives are being transformed and new opportunities are being created every day.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to expanding access to education, employment, and essential resources so that every person has the opportunity to achieve their greatest potential. Thank you for being part of this important work and for helping make 2025 a year of lasting impact.
