Job Seeker Workshops

Goodwill provides weekly and monthly programs and job seeker workshops. Our Workshops are designed to give job seekers the skills necessary to succeed in a highly competitive job market. These programs and workshops are free and open to the public. We do ask that job seekers register before hand, because space is limited. Job seeker workshops, classes, and programs are held at the Charlottesville Workforce CenterHarrisonburg Workforce CenterMadison Heights Jobs Center, and Roanoke Jobs Campus.

This short workshop introduces you to all of the services offered at the workforce center. Some programs are based on eligibility, and we will tell you about how to qualify for the different programs, as well as services that will help you in your job search.

Financial Empowerment
Financial empowerment means the process of helping individuals to make choices about money and transforming those choices into positive actions. Learn how money works in one’s personal life by understanding budgeting, earning, spending and saving. Learn about credit scores and their use by lenders as well ways to improve your individual credit score using the Wells Fargo “Hands on Banking” online educational program. Pre-registration is required; space is limited to 12 participants.
