In October of 2011 Goodwill Industries of the Valleys launched its eBooks operation. The program utilizes books that were not sold in Goodwill retail stores as inventory. It is also a training ground for Goodwill program participants who learn skills such as:
- Sorting
- Bar code scanning of books into a computer
- Cataloging
- Shipping
These skills are preparting participants for competitive jobs in the community.
