My Impact

By Shopping and Donating You Are Having an Impact

As a Goodwill donor and shopper, you are having an impact on the lives of individuals in our community.

In 2016, because of you:

  • Goodwill assisted 45,632 people in need of job training, help finding a job, or who wanted to enhance their skills to find a better job or gain greater independence.
  • 4,261 people facing employment challenges found jobs through Goodwill programs and their average wage of placement was $10.22 per hour.
  • Goodwill worked with 4,819 youth providing work experience and/or academic activities. This enables them to be work ready and prepare for their future.
  • Goodwill provided 709 people over the age of 55 with training and work opportunities.  Of these individuals, 489 received services through one of the largest senior employment training programs (SCSEP) in the country, which Goodwill operates.
  • Goodwill helped 693 people with a criminal background.  Of those, 519 individuals participated in the Prisoner Re-Entry program and 126 people found a job after incarceration.

This is just a glimpse at the impact that you are having. For more information visit our interactive 2016 Community Impact Report.

How Do I Help When I Round Up?

Our customers who choose to Round Up their purchase to the next dollar amount are having an even greater impact on the lives of their neighbors.

Funds generated through Round Up do not cover organizational administrative costs.  Instead the funds directly support programs such as Reality Check, Prisoner Re-Entry, and Career Connections.

Visit the Round Up page for more information.
