Jobs Campus Overview

The Goodwill Jobs Campus is a project that will provide work and training to individuals and businesses in the Roanoke Valley. Renovation of the existing property will create a new retail training store and enable the consolidation of local Goodwill operations. Upon completion the campus environment will house a comprehensive job training center and help to revitalize the urban neighborhood location.

The Goodwill Jobs Campus will serve both community and employer needs through programs that:

  • Expand a necessary workforce by providing training to individuals with employment barriers
  • Create 50 new jobs in an inner city location
  • Collaborate with businesses, colleges, and the community to create and fund programs in areas of greatest labor demand
  • Provide job skills training designed to increase employee retention
  • Expand the pool of trained temporary service workers, particularly in health care and retail

"I would tell anybody who needs a start about what Goodwill can do if you are willing to help yourself. There are a lot of people on the streets with the potential to do good things and just need to get started. They need the guidance Goodwill can give you."
