Goodwill Industries of the Valleys receives its accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for Governance and Employment Services/ Community Employment Services: Job Development, Job Supports, and Job-Site Training.
CARF is an independent, not-for-profit agency promoting quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative process that centers on enhancing the lives of the people receiving services. Our CARF accreditation ensures that:
- Our programs and services actively involve clients in selecting, planning and using services.
- Our programs and services met client-focused, state of the art national standards or performance.
- Our organization is focused on assisting each client in achieving his or her chosen goals and outcomes.

In November 2014, CARF International announced that Goodwill Industries of the Valleys received its accreditation for a period of three years for its Community Employment Services, Employee Development Services, and Organizational Employment Services programs. The latest accreditation is the fifth consecutive Three-Year Accreditation that the international accrediting body, CARF, has awarded Goodwill Industries of the Valleys.
This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.
